Outcome
Ministers from all 27 member states plus the EFTA four (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland) met at Dublin Castle on 9–10 July 2026, chaired by Ireland's enterprise minister Peter Burke, and debated three things: the scale-up financing gap and how to channel European private savings into growth firms via the Savings and Investment Union; industrial decarbonisation and the electricity-cost gap, where EU industrial power remains structurally two to three times more expensive than in the US and China; and single-market barriers, where the argument was for tighter Commission enforcement and better member-state coordination rather than new rules.
