Outcome

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš's political group led in the Czech Republic's first round of Senate elections on October 10, 2026, with twenty-seven Senate seats up for grabs. According to preliminary results, up to six candidates reached the 50% threshold to win seats outright (none from ANO), with 21 seats to be decided in runoff elections. The elections were the first test for Babiš since he returned to power after a decisive victory in parliamentary elections in October 2025.
